For optimal health of the joints and ease of movement, the body should be well stacked and centred. Contrary to belief, we are not perfectly symmetrical. But getting the best optimal position is ideal.
From a side view, the joints of the knee, hip, elbow, shoulder and ear should be in alignment with the ankle. From the front/back views, the legs and feet should be centred under the pubic bone. The umbilicus, sternum, nose, and spine should also be centred.
